- 65 portable sunflower irrigation pumps (PSSIPs) were distributed to Dalit women group members of Nagrain and Laxminiya rural municipality of Dhanusha district for sustainable irrigation and reduce carbon emission from atmosphere and as result through using the PSSIPs 3,250,000 Kg CO2 reducing yearly. Along with this the income level of the PSSIP users are also increased by saving the money approx. in average NPR.8, 000-10,000 monthly which they used to purchase the diesel for diesel pumps for irrigation.
- 35 ltr. Diesel on average saved per month from each HHS which used in the pumping set for traditional irrigation system. Which also saves more than Npr. 10,000 of 65 HHS per month and reducing carbon emission and other greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
- Conducted more than 25 discussion and dialogue series with the community people, local and provincial government on the importance of water and renewable energy promotion especially utilization and management of waste water in urban and rural areas in order to promote renewable energy and utilization of waste water and its management.
- Constructed and promoted more than 3500 improved cooking stoves (ICS) and 500 nos. of rocket stove to the urban and rural HHs for cooking and heating purpose in order to reduce carbon emission from the atmosphere and as result the health condition of the rural and urban women are being improved and their income level are also increased due to less use of firewood in rocket stove and ICS for cooking and their big amount of money also saved which they used to purchase big volume of firewood. They are using the saved money for the better education of their children including maintaining their health and sanitation.
- Provide solar irrigation pumps maintenance training to more than 35 local youths in order to develop their skills and create job opportunities at local level and as result 20 youths are getting employment opportunities at local level.
- Provide waste water management training and workshops to the local youths and organized a demonstration event on waste water management and its utilization for wider awareness and as result the local community members using the waste water for washing and irrigating purpose.
- Organized Improved cooking stoves (ICS) construction training to the women group members in order to promote the ICS and build their capacity to construct the ICS independently. And as result 35dalit community members are getting employment opportunity at local level and earning approx. NPR.5000.00-7000.00 monthly by constructing the ICS.
- Organized series of trainings and demonstration activities on waste management and compost production in order to support the green atmosphere and maintain sanitation in the local community and as result through the waste management organic vegetable farming are promoted in the local community.
- Technically and socially facilitated to construct more than 125 irrigation cannel (cemented and traditional) in order to utilize waste water for sustainable irrigation.
