About RCSDC
Rural Community Sustainable Development Center (RCSDC) is a non-profit making and non-governmental community development organization duly registered under the Society Registration Act 1977 of Nepal and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal. Established in 2008, RCSDC aims at improving the livelihood of most downtrodden section of communities and endeavors to achieve sustainable development through addressing root causes of poverty. The organization takes a participatory approach in addressing development issues of the community. RCSDC is involved in research and development activities in sustainable agriculture, environment, peace building, water and sanitation, health and education, and community empowerment sectors. RCSDC is mandated to work all over the country. It’s Head Office located in Janakpur.

RCSDC envisions an amicable and equitable society where people live in harmony with nature.
Mission
The mission of RCSDC is to equip and empower local communities in sociopolitical, environmental and economic dimensions for enabling them to identify and adopt sustainable approaches to address their local development needs.
Goal
RCSDC aims mainly to facilitate the development process through empowerment of the poor and socially excluded people: poor women, men, boys, girls, dalit and vulnerable communities.
Objectives
- To empower and equip poor communities to make them self-reliant through the economic and socio-political empowerment
- To promote peace and social harmony where rural people can enjoy their life with freedom and security.
- To promote sustainable management of agriculture, natural resources and environment
- To conduct research related to different development and technical issues
- To implement issue based development programs focusing on the rights of poor and socially excluded people to enable them to live with dignity.
- To advocate collectively on the existing national and social issues in coordination and association with NGOs, Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Political Parties, Business Organizations and Communities.
- To organize training and seminars on the development issues for learning and sharing.
